Here are the steps to colorize the feather.
If you decide to practice or use other colors than the ones I chose in the tut, I applaud you!
Adjust > Brightness and Contrast > Brightness and Contrast
Change the brightness to 63 and Contrast to -16.



I used the same Colorize settings for all the images in this tut.
Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize
Hue: 13 Saturation 71



You can adjust the opacity on the feather to make it lighter and more feathery in the layer palette later.
