I've been sending alot of blend tuts... mixed in with masks, scraps, odds and ends, and other things, the most of the tuts have been focused around changing the properties of layers to achieve different effects.  Several folks expressed interest in blends earlier, so I've been looking for tuts that use alot of layer properties.  Blending is simply adjusting  layer properties to change how it looks... darken, lighten, fade, sharpen... each property changes the layer (not only that layer, but effects the layers above and below it.)

 

I changed this tut just a little - first by colorizing it from the original browns to blue.  It was a little too 'wispy' for my tastes, so instead of not adding the effects, I simply changed the layer properties to blend the lines into the images a little.
